My first ever troll
Just after watching donnie darko.
I'd got excited about it for ages because of the cult following it had attracted. I thought the film was a load of pretentious guff, so I went on a donnie darko fan forum just to annoy the fans and tell them I got it and all but it was a load of bollocks. They got really pissed off at me which made me feel much better about wasting an evening for some reason.

it's like the scales of justice
the hour and a half (? no idea, never seen it) of life you lost watching the film, hopefully you get a productive amusing hour and a half back by watching the flapping mutants froth that you dissed their Holy Grail of films. Net result- equalibrium. If you make on the deal by enjoying their annoyance more so than the life sucked out of you by watching the film then you are winning.

I got in to an argument about that film...
...the other person accused me of 'not understanding' the film, then accused me of being a Jean Claude Van Damme fan. Which I am, but that's besides the point.
So I accused them of not understanding the subtle nuances and sub text of classics like Bloodsport and Kickboxer. Not forgetting the all time classic, Street Fighter.
They raged. I laughed.
