Vegans.
All the self-righteousness of a teenager, all the intellectual vigour of a hippy.

Vegans and Yoga
For some reason, vegans tend to gravitate towards Yoga, too. When I see people walking around with Yoga mat carrying bags slung on their shoulder, it makes my Karma boil.

All the poor
nylons that died to make their yoga mats.

I have a vegan friend who refuses to use beeswax polish on the grounds that it'd be exploiting bees.
Now, my parents have three beehives, and they're wonderful things. I love watching the bees do their thing when I'm visiting. I'm toying with the idea of getting a hive of my own. I like bees.

BUT... magnificent as bees are, I'm not sure that it's possible to exploit them. This is for one very simple reason: THEY'RE ONLY FRIGGING BEES.

Yeah but
how many bees does it take to make one tin of polish? They only have tiny ears, it must be millions.

I knew a vegan couple who avoided marmite
because it was unfair to yeast. I never had the courage to ask whether she swallowed his spunk.

Or used medicine if they were taken ill.
After all, that would be unfair on bacteria/viruses/etc. - if you're going to be soppy about one species of micro-organisms, why not be soppy about them all?

Also vegetarians.

And the Welsh

I generally chose to live and let live
and that goes for vegans until they pop out their kids and expect them to live out their lives as pasty-white-skinned stick-insect weaklings..,
then I think vegans should be herded in to the funnels of dog food processing grinders.

Intellectual 'vigour' huh?
Well that's vegans told.

Hi, how are you?
Oh, yes the weather has been a bit grotty recently. I was just saying to DO YOU KNOW I'M A VEGAN??????

My favourite Madonna song, that is.

But they'd all whinge
about the spaceship not being made of soy/recycled materials composite and that it ran on non-renewable fuel sources.
