This is a question Workplace Boredom

There's got to be more to your working day than loafing around the internet, says tfi049113. How do you fill those long, empty desperate hours?

When you don't answer your phone after several attempts
It is highly likely the receptionist will pop into the office to leave a note on your desk.

What she won't expect is to see you sat there, unable to speak, with brown drool coming out of your mouth, as you had been trying to see how many maltesers you could fit into your mouth at the time.
I sadly speak from experience.

HAHAHAHA
I actually nearly cried.

How many did you manage?

^ this
I laughed and nearly cried too :)

That said its a valid question and one that needed to be answered, so... how many maltesers was it in the end?

it was a few years ago now
so what with the stress I was under at the time, I can't remember. I do know that after a matter of seconds the first ones start to dissolve so you can add more, but they then clack you up so you have difficulty in breathing / swallowing / not looking a bulgy eyed mong

I have not dared try since, but I am sure some of the stupider braver board members will have a go. Potential image challenge perhaps?

well done
I trust you were able to look her in the eye as if there was nothing unusual happening

I gave her a thumbs up (oo-er)
and to her credit she just slowly shook her head and backed out of the room. She has been with us for far too long to be phased by whatever she sees nowadays.

I'm guessing that the receptionist wasn't much of a looker...
...or else you could have been filling her mouth with something instead? :-o

Brrrr
*remembers another yarn about a mouth dribbling brown drool...

I'm glad I'm not the only one
I think I must've been permanently scarred by that story because it was the first thing that came to my mind when I read "brown drool" and I was so happy when I read the rest of the sentence and it was just chocolate.

I suggest we all stand and point at Chart Cat
while looking very disapproving.

He has scarred us all.

Mind you....we have only imagined it....he went through it.

Poor man.
