This is a question Worst Band Ever

If I was in charge of the B3ta fatwa department, we wouldn't be hearing too much from Simply Red in the future. Who's on your musical shit list and why?

Can we just get this out of the way....
The Rolling Stones are rubbish. The lyrics are poor, the music has nothing to recommend it and everyone but everyone claims to like them, but I fail to see why.

they had one of the great rythym sections of any band, countless memorable guitar licks and a great vocalist
over the 60s and 70s they produced one great album after another that people still buy today and dig
yeah, the stones were shit

This is the problem with popular groups
The Beatles, The Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zep, etc., were all very popular when they started, often unique, and mostly very talented.

The fact that people still buy their music after so many years is a testimony to how popular they still are. There are many musicians of today and yesteryear from all genres of music that say how inspirational Paul McCartney was to them.

Unfortunately kiddies of today have different tastes, and will tend to take a pop at music they either don't understand or just want to ridicule to make their taste seem "so much better". The fact that they back up their claims with words such as "tuneless", which is actually quantifiable and thus easily proved wrong, makes it so much sadder.

It's funny that they don't ridicule obviously poor musicians from one-hit-wonder bands. Maybe that's not controversial enough to make them sound such good judges in music!

I was around when they first started (yeah, I am old)
and they were head and shoulders above anything that was around those days.
