I agreeAs a musician I make it a point to never join in with Happy Brithday, because it's always so woeful.
In addition I would like to add handclaps to your rant. You know when you're watching a band and they say "Everyone clap your hands"? Well I don't, I put my hands in my pockets.
Why? Because everyone ALWAYS claps on the down-beat like this:
CLAP - 2 - CLAP - 4.
NOOOOOO! No no no no no! It should be:
1 - CLAP - 3 - CLAP.
One is right, the other just isn't and I refuse to be a part of it.
