REM manage to get half a dozen decent tracks onto each new album, plus some filler to make the CD heavier (otherwise it would be too light to play and probably fuck up your CD player or something). U2 manage about 2 decent tracks per album - the rest of the album is weighed down by their offshore tax receipts.
