I developed a huge aversion to
"Fields of Gold", "Lady Marmalade" and another flamboyant song a few years ago for a similar reason, though that was because my housemate at the time used to play those three songs and nothing else at high volume. Usually when I was working nights, round about the time he was getting up and I'd just gone to bed.

Later, I found out he was just as unenthusiastic about Amon Düül II.
