In complete agreement. I can't see what the fuss was about. Again, I wasn't there, but my dad told me the Stones is what men liked and the Beatles were for the ladies. Basically the Take That of their era.
Given the other music that was on offer in that era I can't see why they stood out so much, I mean, Beatles or The Jimi Hendrix Experience? There's no contest. Axis Bold as Love knocks any Beatles album into a cocked hat IMHO.
