FUCKING BT RARGH!
I'm a new customer, this should be all wonderful and nice, not all offputting.

Have they charged you £125 for the privilege of being a customer of theirs, like they did with me?

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 15:16, archived)
same here
BT are the biggest bunch of cunts in the world. Go with a cable company like Virgin.

This. So hard that the fibre optics run up your jacksy.

Unless you live in the 95% of the country that doesn't have cable.

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 15:27, archived)
Well, that's just your fault for not living in a decent area

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 15:28, archived)
Virgin still have service in non-cable areas.
You get ADSL and a normal phone line instead. It's just the TV part you can't get.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 16:16, archived)
Did you have to have your local loop rebundled?

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 15:17, archived)
Ouch!

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 15:18, archived)
All we want is a line re-activated.
That's all. GRAGH.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 15:18, archived)
That'll be £125 please.

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 15:19, archived)
And apparently they shouldn't be doing it...

It's a fucking joke.
The whole thing, and it's put me in a foul mood for work and I can't be arsed and hate everything. :(

What number did you dial?
I've just been on the phone to get my line activated when I move in.
I dialled 0800 800 150, said I wanted the sales department and then said "I'm moving into a new place, I'm going to be a customer and I want a line set up."
I've just been told it'll be done by the 2nd of June.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 15:40, archived)
It's free of charge, too

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 15:43, archived)
That was the number I dialled
but I didn't get put through to anyone, it just kept asking for phone numbers you want to talk about. How hard is it to be put straight through to a sales rep?
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 15:50, archived)
Do they still do that?
They tried that with me when I bought my first flat, despite it having a couple of BT phone sockets. Fuck 'em, I've always preferred cable anyway.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 15:20, archived)
Yep, they did that to me despite already having the right sockets and cabling laid already
cunts

Fucking hate BT
They disconnected us a month before our arranged discon date, and then wanted to charge us for another reconnection AND disconnection just to fix their error.

Then they disconnected my housemate's PARENTS' house as well as our house.
