Do you think Nintendo intended for all the letters with stars on them to spell "U R MR GAY"?

link fail

(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:00, archived)
"please do not hotlink our images"
but i know what you mean

tom and i were talking about it yesterday
i don't think it was deliberate
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:01, archived)

psst, the new one doesn't have the stars!
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:07, archived)

What, new covers for the game or that link up there? The link definitely does.
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:24, archived)

it's a working link but the picture it links to doesn't have the stars that we were talking about
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:27, archived)

yes it does. I'm looking at them now.
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:38, archived)

oh yeah, for some reason i remember them being bigger. can see them now. why're we still whispering?
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:43, archived)
I think the fact that the Sun thought their readers needed it spelling out speaks volumes.

(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 8:37, archived)
They can still only work it out by pointing at the individual letters as they read them out loud.

(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 8:49, archived)
"coincidence"
Yeah right.
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 8:38, archived)
Mhm, fired designer, more like.

(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 8:39, archived)
National coverage in the paper for free.
Raise and a new car for the designer.
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 8:41, archived)
Yes, that's true.
I hadn't thought of it like that.
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 8:42, archived)
I liked the you've been tangoed adverts that got banned.

(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 8:46, archived)
It seems school was more fun years ago.
I'm sure they'd ban pogs these days, in case a kid threw a slammer at someone's precious Tarquin.
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:03, archived)
pogs got banned while i was at school

(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:03, archived)
Really?
Oh. Maybe I had a liberal-minded school, I don't remember them being banned.

My point stands: Why can't kids beat each other senseless with ill-advised toys and excuses from TV these days?
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:05, archived)
they were banned because fights were erupting
i was fucking brilliant at pogs
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:08, archived)
Conkers being banned is madness.
And something that makes me angry.
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:11, archived)
That's crap
Pogs are ace.
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:07, archived)
This^^
is true. Remember the Asda 'Microsoft' bras. So much publicity for so little money.
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 8:51, archived)
Link, please?
Google doesn't like me.
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 8:58, archived)
The Asda/Microsoft spat is difficult to find.
But Asda advertised a range of lingerie made from a type of material they decided to call 'Microsoft Fibre', in the knowledge that Microsoft wouldn't be able to resist making a fuss.

It was all over the papers for a few days. Publicity worth, well, perhaps not 'millions' but a lot.
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:13, archived)

I note that the Sun yesterday had the headline "The Twitter batter of Tiny Pete". Genius.
I can only presume Jordan has been slagging off Peter Andre on twitter.
(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 8:48, archived)
Sometimes I wonder if they come up with the pun first and make the news happen afterwards to make it fit.

(, Thu 25 Jun 2009, 9:02, archived)
Sometimes??
