If you pulled out all the stops and acted like a total cunt, you could inspire rage, contempt and a whole cornucopia of negative emotions; hell, you might even get death threats!

Getting people to like you is fairly easy, but deliberately making people hate you is a much darker and more elusive art altogether. Besides, notoriety is at least as good as fame - and both are better than total obscurity.
