We had a good Family Guy vs. The Simpsons thread going last night.

(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:28, archived)
Damn, I must have missed that.
Can you run me through the highlights please.
(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:29, archived)
I got angry.
Everything else was a side issue.
(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:33, archived)
It was pretty much split down the middle.
Then we brought Futurama and American Dad into it.
What a thread it turned out to be!
(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:33, archived)
Futurama isn't a bad way to spend half an hour,
but it's not even on the same planet as Family Guy and the Simpsons (har har space joke)
(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:35, archived)
shit

(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:38, archived)

(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:39, archived)

Carefull now, we can't have two topical cartoon debates inside the same week.
I might change my opinion or something, and Play.com haven't delivered the DVDs from yesterday's one.

Jurassic Bark is on the cartoon episode that made me drop a tear of sadness

OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY !
Did anyone mention South Park?
(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:40, archived)
South park was funny when I was 12

(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:41, archived)
Towards the end of the thread.

(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:42, archived)
What about Spitting Image?
Someone should have mentioned that.

I'm gutted to have missed it.
(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:43, archived)
not a cartoon

(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:44, archived)
king of the hill?

(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:45, archived)
IMO not very good.

(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:45, archived)
took itself a bit too seriously,
even up to the point of being embarrassingly moralising at times. Kind of odd for a cartoon. At least it wasn't lolwacky.
(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:47, archived)
YES ! GET-IN-THERE-TRICKY !
Right outta the ball park.
(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:46, archived)
OH man ! Let's debate this one.
I think it's still a cartoon, maybe, depends on your definition, I could be wrong.
(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:45, archived)
It's a puppet show.

(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:46, archived)

(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:51, archived)
fucking awful

(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:54, archived)
I've accidently started the whole debate again.
People weren't this angry last night. Except for HBLC. He was fucking tamping.
(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:46, archived)
Fuck off ya' cunt.
WHO'S A WANKER? WHO'S A WANKER? WHO'S THAT WANKER WITH A DIFFERENT OPINON TO MINE?
JackAction's the wanker with a different-opinon-to-mine.
(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:47, archived)
Aw man :(

Soz dude, didn't mean to harsh your buzz.

(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:34, archived)
i just dont get family guy
its rubbish
(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:36, archived)
it's like a cartoon sketch show
only with less than 5 minutes of actual material per episode
(, Tue 7 Jul 2009, 18:39, archived)
Too many cutscenes,
not enough making sense. But The Simpsons had been going on for far too long and had started to show signs of succumbing to the inevitable progress of entropy, so it made a nice change for a while before the "wtf why am I watching this?" started to set in.
