I'm not sure when you think I got wound up. I think you are talking about a certain prick joking about killing n-words, which he subsequently edited away (hopefully out of shame and guilt).

You offer a false dichotomy with your 'more like someone winding you up on purpose' argument. His joke about killing n-words was literally hateful and, he claimed, 'laser targetted' to troll me. Saying something racist with the intent of pissing off one person does not excuse the racism.

Trolling me is harmless fun. But if you are doing racism in order to upset one powerless internet pixel person, you're not a clever troll, you're are a worthless fucking cunt. I wish I could get this through to people. It doesn't seem complicated to me.

Joking about killing n-words is not a non-issue. Racism is actually quite an important issue. How would you characterise an adult-like response to a real issue? How would you imagine a truly grown up adult would respond to /talk culture in general?

I struggle to take seriously arguments which, with no apparent irony, use terms like white knighting, social justice warrior, virtue signalling, etc. White knight is just a synonym for do-gooder, and as all right minded people know, doing good is terribly bad.

I *honestly* don't care one jot about befriending impotent angry pixel people. This projection betrays your own motivations; better to have racist friends than no friends at all, right?

One thing I couldn't deny is that I'm seeking the same thing as everyone online - validation. When you hate racism, exposing racism is validating. Being hated by racists is validating. Upsetting racists is fun.

I wish I could concentrate on the serious business of seeking validation through upsetting people with repetitious mundane absurdism, but this utter non issue keeps coming up.
