it sounds and plays better than my genuine Fender so the old one's going on eBay. It's got a few modifications on it I'll take off (just put a £40 set of strings on the fucker - they're not gonna be part of the sale).

I gave it a quick go and it seems to plays as well as my genuine Fender too. She's going to be chuffed to bits

but they're flat wound so you'll probably replace the neck before the strings.
I thought I'd try out a set of Elixirs, they've got a coating so they stay bright longer and they do have a very nice, slick feel. Much nicer than Rotosounds that feel like curled up nail files. Urgh.

as much as I like my guitar the notes all sort of blend, you don't get anywhere near the articulation and clarity you do with a telecaster and they are fucken' solid things.

I got it for an amazing price via a FOF who worked at a rehearsal studio, some dude was selling all his stuff to go travelling and I think I paid something like £200

Aside from laptops and cars, I think it's the most expensive thing I've ever bought. Oh, and houses, I guess.
Bought it off moohalaa, late of this parish.

managed to sell them all without losing too much money though. Tell you what, this cheap-ass Squier thing sounds as good as any I've ever had and plays nicer than most. Gonna take the bugger to bits and pimp it tomorrow, see how it likes some high-quality hardware, baby!
