Bit of a shitty one
had a painful call with the builders last night. Due to prices of building materials going up our project is likely to rise in cost by 10% at least so that's an extra £4k we have to find down the back of the sofa.

everything has gone up in my industry
raw materials, packaging, worst of all is shipping containers out of the far east - they're four times what they were a year or so back, and keep rising. Not sure why

my neighbour works in transport journalism - apparently all the containers are in the wrong places. Sounds daft but so many delivered have been made without a return that there's a global shortage of containers. Shows how finely-balanced the just-in-time logistics system is.
