Alright.
Just had the surveyor's report. Lots of problems including asbestos, lead pipe water supply, tree roots blocking the waste drainage, woodworm, inadequate damp proofing, leaking roof. £50 to 100k to fix and would have to live with the mother in law while it was being done. Wondering whether to insist on a 70k reduction in the price or just pull out.

That's a lot of stuff to fix and there's no guarantee that other problems won't come to light while the repairs are being done. Do you want to risk it?
