I should clarify that I was once in a hostel near Melbourne with some Aussie rednecks watching 'A Current Affair', which appeared to be the lobotomised TV version of the Express. There was some salacious reporting on a priest who'd been wanking off his verandah or something, and rather than reflecting on the dispiriting awfulness and unreliability of the reporting, their knee-jerk response was vocalised when one of them conclusively barked "SHOOT THE CUNT!" at the TV.
