It wasn’t at the time.

The Allergies.
Nothing huge like a Tailor Swyft or a Coolplay or Bruce Springstine, but still excellent.

The Allergies are a Bristol-based duo who make feel-good funk, soul sampling, and hip-hop beats
like if Massive Attack cheered up?

Yeah kind of, but I think Massive Attack would also need hip replacements and more vitamins.
Upbeat, funky stuff, with Andy Cooper (from Ugly Duckling back in the 90s) rapping over some of it. He's getting old like the rest of us but performing better than ever.

They also had a live singer and a live saxophonist, weirdly.

their Fresh Mode EP is a fantastic record
I played the shit out of that when it came out, best track Einstein's Taking Off

Not as weird as having a dead singer and saxophonist.
