DONEcan NO-WELL
I was alive in the 80s, but I have no memory of this much-loved personality and comedian.

Morning my flubbly-wubbly /talk chums
Had a hilarious call with my solicitors yesterday. The estate I've been sorting out is nearly done with, just waiting on some final funds to come in e.g. refund on insurance, final utility bills etc.
Anyway. To placate the beneficiaries, we agreed to make them an interim payment of £35k each. All fine, you'd think, but the solicitors have to ensure each one legally verifies their identity. Bit of a faff, sure, but it's to ensure that the funds go to the right person. Two of the three family members went to a solicitor with some ID, got copies validated, job done. The third brother went apoplectic with indignation "why should I have to prove who I am?! This is completely unreasonable! I'm a respected member of the community I'll get my friend HE'S A COUNCILLOR YOU KNOW AND HE WILL WRITE TO YOU TO SAY THAT I AM WHO I SAY I AM NO YOU CAN'T SEE A BANK STATEMENT MY FINANCE ARE VERY, VERY CONFIDENTIAL WHO IS YOUR MANAGER I'M MAKING A COMPLAINT" etc. etc. Well. I mean, the solicitors will happily put up with his crap and his complaints... at a very hefty hourly rate. Stupid fucker doesn't seem to realise the more shit he stirs up the less money there wil be for him. The nice lady in the solicitors said "I see why you instructed us to deal with them on your behalf now, they're absolutely mad."

Him and his brother are really very difficult.
deeply unlikable human beings. From what I've seen, they were very unpleasant to their sister when she was alive and after she became terminally ill, and now they're behaving appallingly in relation to her estate. I have a very low opinion of them.
