in other news the hot spicy red sausages are still repeating on me
they were amazing tho

i noticed that if i freeze supermarket sausages they go solid and i can only split them using the smooth side of my steak tenderiser
and they often split in half, so much water in them. butcher's sausages can be peeled apart by hand when frozen due to no added water. i'm converted.

I had the 'National Burger of the Year 2025' on Friday, at Black Bear
It was a 6.5/10 at best. Perfectly fine but utterly unremarkable. Plus my wife's burger was cold and one of the cocktails was far too sweet. Black Bear? WACK Bear more like!!!

Don't to smash that like button and subscribe, guys.

Butcher's sausages are superior by far

i spent 52 quidlings on a butchers pack plus a 1.2kg joint of brisket from my local butchers
Burgers were lovely, sausages awesome, whole chicken was to die for, especially for the bird in question, also got pork chops (massive) ground beef, diced steak, chicken breasts, qnd some other shot i can't remember, al in the freezer apart from the chicken which has been cooked and eaten.

I am cooking the brisket today. Honestly it'll last 2 weeks what i got. Never buying meat from a supermarket again. Watery shite, all of it. Even the whole chickens are wet as fuck from there, never knew what a dry chicken felt like. Feels dry, btw.

i actually had trouble getting the chicken out of the bag
Supermarket chickens just slop out because they're slimy and icky.

I'm going to start buying farmers veg next because everything i buy from the supermarket tastes of nothing and rots within 10 seconds of purchase

We have a market twice a week
The veg is amazing, so fresh. Radishes the size of golf balls, massive cucumbers and leeks, giant carrots, the lot
