So Starbucks thought they would use a well known graffiti wall in Brighton to hawk their coffee
Predictably it's not going so well.

UR Mark Kermode AICMFP!
I don't get how that guy can praise something like Disney High-School Musical on the grounds that although it's corny, it does what it sets out to do. But then he watches a film that might as well be called The Giant Robots Who Blow Stuff Up and whine, "oh, it's all too reliant on special effects and explosions". Well, duh. Yes, Pearl Harbor was shit, but that first live-action Transformers movie did everything it needed to do for the fans and did it brilliantly.

At a guess
It'll be because the girls in High School Musical aren't reduced to the status of teenage boy's masturbation aid.
Transformers makes the Carry On films look progressive in their attitude towards women.

No, they just use 18-24 year old boys to portray 12-16 year olds
To set unrealistic ideals in the target audience.
While the girls keep their clothes on for the film but strip off for magazine shoots between takes.

I quite liked 'Dark of the Moon'
Especially where they bring in the super-secret government lunar cover-up team and Buzz Aldrin is actually one of the guys who comes in. That's class.
Maybe it's a Trek thing - someone's deliberately making the even-numbered ones particularly shit.

Maybe
If they could also do one that only robots could see.
Although the previous ones were such a fucking mess visually they're most of the way there already.

You're hardly setting a high bar there.
A 6-inch plastic bowtie, worn by a man singing a German cover of Donna Summer (with a falsetto bonus) was still less pretentious than Chris Martin.
Even a musique concrete and saxophone bridge is less pretentious than Chris Martin.
