I'm glad you used 31337
Instead of the more commonly shortened version 1337 - as the short version isn't a prime number, so is deeply unsatisfying.

Aah, but...
The only other divisors of 1337 other than itself and one are both prime numbers (7 and 191) so that might cheer you up a bit.

I never played the PS3 version
I believe it's got better resolution and first person mode, probably loads a little faster although it still takes done time. I'm guessing no, although it's twenty five quid now, so could be worth a punt?

All of the groovy new content
For GTA online is PS4 only. I'm seriously thinking of buying a 4 just for playing online. If you get smart on your time zones so you avoid the squeakers you can have seriously good fun. I did all of heists with some guy from Tennessee and his mates we had a fucking ball although our playing while drunk was badly out of phase.

I haven't even thought about online yet
Too much to keep me going in the game. It's insane. I get about an hour if I'm lucky after put my daughter to bed at night. I've the last few days, I've robbed an FBI building and killed dozens of cops, then I'm going through therapy with my family, then I'm hunting elk. Such a vast game!

Online is the dog's
the game is great, for sure.
But online is just brilliant - millions of missions, player v player death match, races, heists in co-op with other players, setting up a corporation and smuggling, counterfeiting and robbing your way to wealth with other players. Be in a motorbike gang. Or just roam around having random encounters with people.

Nah, it's lost the charm of Vice City and San Andreas
The engine is great and the world is big, but the content is shallow. You quickly work out how the cars spawn (behind you is basically the trick) what spawns in what area and the organic feel goes.
The real thing it's missing is a sense of overlaying yourself on the main protagonists = They're mapped out and concrete with backstories; I don't want to watch a film, I'm playing a computer game.
GTA 4 and 5 are technically super but their soul is missing. Uhm like Lambourghini after Audi took them over..?

^this man gets it
Vice City and San Andreas were an absolute joy to get lost in for an evening. The player characters were likeable and relatable,, surrounded by a cast of interesting and fun people, and you got a sense of accomplishment by improving their lives by completing the story missions.
The player characters in GTA4 and 5 were thoroughly unlikeable, surrounded by utter shitbags, and completing missions felt like a grind. The worlds were pretty, but the fun was gone.

Some interesting thoughts. Well, I found them interesting. Need sleep now, only four hours last night. Weak.

"A spiv who had to buy his own furniture."
Given how much IKEA furniture I own, I don't know why this amuses me so much, but it does. I think it's because it is a very economic way of communicating a great deal about the insulter and insultee.

Old school Tory who at least didn't give a shit about vocalising his contempt of everyone beneath his social standing.
Now we just get vacuous comments about making a fairer society for everyone where everyone can achieve to be what they want to be, but still inside they don't give a shit about the great unwashed and don't understand.

Bit of an extreme way to lose weight, innit?
Sorry but that's the best I can come up with - only usually make sick jokes behind people's backs.
Though it does remind me of a chap I knew who had a prosphetic leg after he lost one of his birth legs in a motorcycle accident. He continued to ride like a mad thing, and he told the tale of once when he managed to throw his bike down the road on the way to work. He slid down the road, and caught the prosthetic on a lamppost as he passed on his back at 50mph. The leg got whipped off, and bounced through a group of people at a bus stop. As two fainted and one threw up, he's back on his foot, pogoing after it shouting 'stop my leg'......
I have serious doubts whether it was true, but I heard hhim tell it several times and it always had us crying with laughter.
So there is a sunny side!
Good luck with the healing.

If you pick a pear from the big Pawpaw.

Now when you pick a paw-paw, or a prickly pear
And you prick a raw paw, well next time, beware!
Don't pick the prickly pear with the paw;
When you pick a pear, try to use the claw.
But you don't need
To use the claw
When you pick a pair of the big paw-paw.
Have I given you a clue?

Only film I've seen recently in the cinema is Get Out
and the trailer for that was brilliant. Apart from spoiling the scene that gives the film it's name a bit, it did what a trailer should do: get you interested and tell you almost nothing about what's going to happen.
