Foodwrongs
A food thread will bring out Team Autistic Internet, I'm sure.

What foods can you not abide? What shit foods do you love?

Alt:
Its fucking boiling here. Are you a hot or cold person?
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:05, 129 replies, latest was 10 years ago)
I'm hot, but also very cool.
I like chicken.

I do not like beetroot, or sprouts, as they are Satan's grapes.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:10, Reply)
I have started to eat my beetroot now that I've grown in the garden
They are all of the ace. Boiled then roasted with balsamic vinegar and chilli flakes
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:17, Reply)
People who don't like beetroot
Tend to only have had them pickled before. Like you said, roasted beetroot is bloody marvellous. You can wilt the leaves too. Taste like spinach.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:20, Reply)
I dont like beetroot
And I have had it a number of ways (I have also eaten beetroot ahahahaha)
Its shit and turns your shit purple
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:23, Reply)
Surely that is a plus point?

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:25, Reply)
Ok that is its only plus point
The downside being it tastes of shit and is shit and eaten by people who are shit,
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:26, Reply)
Pink piss and purple shit is 100% pure WIN

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:25, Reply)

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:26, Reply)
Can you eat the larger leaves or just the small ones?

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:25, Reply)
To be honest, I don't remember
I think we just ate them all.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:27, Reply)
I hate most fruits that pretend to be vegetables
Tomato, Aubergine, Cucumber, Courgette, Peppers etc. I can eat most as an ingredient though.

I love my food, I'm not sure I eat anything I'd consider shit though. Unless Sweet and Salted popcorn counts as shit.

Alt, cold

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:26, Reply)
I thought it was a dried berry?

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:27, Reply)
Aubergene is a berry
But you could well be right it is just one of those vague recollections I have.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:29, Reply)

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:37, Reply)
The only things I don't like
are marrowfat processed peas and lemon meringue pie. That's it.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:18, Reply)
This might be the worst thing I've ever posted here

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:23, Reply)
Lemon meringue pie is lovely
What bit of it don't you like?
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:26, Reply)
The Mushy Pea gravy

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:28, Reply)
Thats the best bit!

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:28, Reply)
lol, yes
The curry sauce is gross too
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:29, Reply)
The lemon mainly

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:28, Reply)
I like bananas, and banana flavoured things.
I don't like raw cbeese.

Alt: I feel hot most of the time, unless it's really cold.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:19, Reply)
No cbeese of any sort?

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:27, Reply)
ONLY MELTED!

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:28, Reply)
I'll eat most things as long as it doesn't have a face.
Also, being a grown up, I can eat all my dinner up without making a fuss.
Even if it contains things I'm not that keen on.

Alt: It really depends on my environment and other variables, such as how much clothing I'm wearing, whether I am wet or dry, etc.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:24, Reply)
It's the same for a lot of people.
That's why they usually cut the faces off.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:38, Reply)
They take up too much space on the plate, mainly

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:39, Reply)
" I'll eat most things as long as it doesn't have a face. Also, being a grown up, I can eat all my dinner up without making a fuss."

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:42, Reply)
Can I mention sausages, or will itresult in meltdown?
My daughter and I are about to make nommy nommy burgers, which will be eaten with cheese and salad. Home made burgers rock. ID like to grow a cow, so we could do our own milk, cheese, and ultimately, cow meat.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:38, Reply)
My daughter brought a cookery book home from the library
She wants to make burgers with SECRET CHEESE in
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:39, Reply)
Secret cheese?

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:43, Reply)
Put a chunk inside the burger so it melts when it cooks
Makes the burger cooking a bit safer as the meat is then thinner too
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:44, Reply)
Also use stilton or similar for the best cbeese option

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:51, Reply)
Possibly not with a 7 year old though

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:51, Reply)
But enough of your sex life
Ahahahaha...

NO get them trained onto proper cheese at an early age, you wouldn't want them to turn into a cheese wrong
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:52, Reply)
Sprouts are fucking wrong.
All other food is fantastic, although sometimes the recipe leaves a lot to be desired.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:39, Reply)
Sprouts
Per boiled, drained then fried with lardons and lemon.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:40, Reply)
All that does is partially disguise the shit taste.
Although the lardons and lemon combination intrigues me and warrants further investigation.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:43, Reply)
This. Pan friend diced sprouts with baycon nommms

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:56, Reply)
I'll eat most things as I'm not a flailling wah-wah-spastic.
But I'm not particularly keen on humous, beetroot, or big tomatoes. Bleurgh.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:42, Reply)
I really like humous
But the flavoured ones, not plain
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:42, Reply)
There's not a lot of food I don't like. OBVS!!
Watermelon and Mussels tend to induce nausea. Not at the same time.
I love all manner of unhealthy munch but only eat beige food once in a while.

alt. I like the Summer. I hate being cold.

A mate of mine randomly turned up on Thurs so that helped.

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 12:01, Reply)
Standard salad is mainly what I dont like
Iceberg lettuce, raw harsh onion, flavourless watery tomato and cucumber. GET TAE FACK

I'm not a fan of water chestnuts or bamboo shoots either
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:43, Reply)
I'll eat pretty much anything bar olives and parsnips.
As for shit foods, I do have a penchant for pretty much anything that is beige.

Chicken Kievs and all. Protip: pierce the top of them to make a vent that stops them bursting when cooking.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:48, Reply)
Excellent tip!
I love olives now but hated them when I was younger. Parsnips are my new favourite thing, roasted with maple syrup until half crispy, half chewy
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:51, Reply)
I don't like parsnips because of their deceit. They always catch me off-guard thinking they're going to taste of potato.
People do tell me that if I eat enough olives I'll begin to like them, but I'd rather invest my time eating things I already like.
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:58, Reply)
Garlic and chilli olives are great

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:59, Reply)
I have some lemon and coriander manzanillo (sp?) olives today

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:55, Reply)
My mate Dave is married to a Chinese girl
She makes 100 day eggs where you bury them first
(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 11:57, Reply)

(, Mon 28 Jul 2014, 12:01, Reply)
