You could get some work designing stimuli for cognitive neuroscience.

I already suggested you to to a dude that does a lot of work in object catagoristion (Bruce Hajalou at Hertfordshire university).
Things like animals with fruit textured skin and visa versa plus other various mashups as dictated by the needs of science could make for some very publishable material. You should see some of the stimuli they currently use, it's shite and not a shadow on the stuff you produce. But I didn't say that.
