# Superb
was watching the new Doritos ad that won the competition you entered and I'd have to say yours was far better and more inventive. The whole District9 effect has been done to death now, meh!

**** on a side note I'm 1 year older today, boo!

# I saw that the other day
was that actually made by the entrant, or did they remake it with a big budget?

# I think they must have remade it
but couldn't say for sure - which is why Mr Toasts ad was far better it wouldn't have had to be reworked.

# I assume it was an entrant, one with lots of expensive software, staff and a way of ignoring half the rules
(unless they got sign off from every single person in what was quite a large crowd scene)

# use lots of expensive software, staff and ignore half the rules byt he sounds of it
It seems very odd to run a competition for 'amateurs' and then the winner clearly seems to have had the budget of an average british film

# Saying that the whole District 9 effect can be simulated in AfterEffects very cheaply
however the raw footage to be tracked on what looks like a "Red", the crowds and the laboratory scene and actors must have clearly been beyond amateur budgets.

# lots,
no trademarks visible, everyone on screen must sign a release, suitable for showing at any time (nothing scary or rude), etc etc.
But with a possible prize of £200,000 its not surprising professional operations had a go.

# Yeah wide open for professionals to exploit the "amateur look"
but this is so obviously made to look like that it shouldn't have won - we need up-and-coming talent not professionals muscling in for the cash.

Next time, Toast go full b3ta on their asses and make it as edgy as you dare - you never know they might just go for it, remember that Mobile phone frog with his willy out now the world needs to see a Happy Toast design full frontal!
