I used to work in a school,
and was encouraged by the fact that all the kids who were forming bands scorned emo - and the band they all really liked was The Ramones.

all this anti emo stuff
is kind of sad really, its like the metal heads telling them not to look the same, yet all metal heads do? agreed lady trousers arent a good look for men, neither is eye makeup but hey, let kids do what they want. alternatively you could just be a "human" and not care. And possibly grow up and not listen to shouty music lol.

The point being,
what the kids wanted was The Ramones. They wouldn't've been moved by my Van Morrison lectures.

The wife got dragged to Status Quo as a kid, she's scarred for life. I'm glad you survived Showaddywaddy, many didn't!

Oh, there's worse. Were you ever exposed to Darts?
(The group, not the pointy throwing weapon or the enjoyable working-class sport)
