# This is 'bit' spammy but I hope I've chalked up enough good karma over the years to excuse it
I did this piccy for the Tullie House Museum 'Keep it in Cumbria' appeal

The appeal is trying to raise the funds to purchase the Crosby Garrett Roman Helmet which is up for auction on Thursday.
You can find out more abbout the appeal here I know things are tight for most people at present, but if anyone has a few sheckles spare please consider it.

# £300k is mere pennies.
Richard Branson could buy it with his pocket money.

# i'm sure the museum will be aware
but there are a number of schemes, charaties and grants that might boost the fund. The National Heritage Lottery Fund was very good to us, but there are many others.

# Yep, but they have to raise at least £80,000 in donations before they unlock
other funding :(

# Again,
I am sure they know this (it looks a lot bigger than my museum) but it always worth approaching the bigger museums. the V&A are quite generous, and the British Museum also has been known to help. If it looks like an artefact might go abroad, they sometimes cough up a bit.
