It's surprising how many 2000 A.D. fans seem to be loitering around these parts.....

also, don't fret people -- I heard that they have to close down the /links board every couple of months for a de-lousing and fumigation

Also - my bro forwarded the email you sent him - cheers heaps for that - he always appreciates a bit of feedback, and he's generally pretty good inreturn about helping out with enquiries. Nice one.

I hope the film makes him a mint.
I'm not going to dress up as a chalet girl or anything, but if your bro wants extras/flying monkeys/lead characters, that sort of thing, in any future trilogies, I'm happy to talk terms ;)
Now...fingers crossed, tongue poking out slightly at an angle...and pressing "post this message".

Ta. Opening week was decent, but a bit thwarted by good weather. The film entered at no 4 in the UK box office for the week - highest new entry but not what they had hoped for. Looking to build on some good reviews for the next couple of weeks.
Our kid has probably made all the money he will do out of this. He's cut in on a percentage of the profits, but they tend to tax engineer fillums so that even the biggest monsters only break even. Sure he'll have got a decent chunk when they bought the script, but for him the important thing is that he's now a Produced Screenwriter.
I will make sure he's aware of the flying monkey offer though.
:o)
