# But AV would make it less likely that the BNP would get elected.
Because there's no way they'd get a majority of electoral support. They are some people's first choice but no-one else's second choice. That's why the BNP are supporting the 'No' campaign.

That and because they're a bunch of brainless fucks.

# Brainless fucks everywhere would be offended by that remark
To be honest, I couldn't give enough of a fuck about them to even bother to find out which side they were on. But hey, maybe I can explain away my ignorance of their affairs by suggesting they're bluffing just to get people to vote the other way so they're not in agreement with the BNP... although that would mean that they would effectively be admitting that they're shit and no one likes them (well, hardly anyone).

# the fact that the BNP are voting no is not a valid reason to vote yes

but it is a fair old push in the yes direction

#
"If a candidate receives a majority of first-preference votes (more people put them as number one than all the rest combined), then they are elected."

If you have to explain to your voters what a majority is, then you're onto a loser there....

# To be fair
Very few people know WTF "plurality" means, so use "majority" to mean "more than anyone else". Hence why someone had to invent the entirely pointless term "overall majority".

Putting it like that also avoids talking about the 50% "line", which people keep referencing to make it sound simpler, but is actually really confusing when you ask "50% of what?"

Shit, does this mean I'm defending not only the BNP, but the No2AV campaign? Erm... YEAH, TOSSERS!
