I confess: I quite liked the fridge thing.
Didn't mind the whole aliens-themed plot, either.
What ruined it was the storytelling and character surplus.
Felt like a fan-fiction!

If only he had the back catalogue of these posted on his website, or somewhere equally easy to reference in case people are a bit lost in the story arc.
