I'm not sure if it's my browser but the animated part seem to have a white bounding box around them
like they are made of Photoshop/ImageReady 'slices' rather than a frame animation. That's not to say it isn't lovely though I just wish to know what is this voodoo you do do so well! ;)

Really?
Hmmm... looks okayish on Firefox. Although it is compressed to buggery with loads of artifacts. What browser are you using?

Ah... I can't test on anything beyond IE5.
But you see outlines around each of the animated elements? Most peculiar...

IE8 is odd - one of the Union Reps at work who posted a tribute to James
on their website wrote some stuff under the picture and in IE8 it turns a standard Arial font into somekind of Cyrilic Font which doesn't happen in Firefox - Maybe IE8 is boked

Have you tried switching it off and on again ;-)
Seriously though, I can't suggest anything you would't have tried yourself, as I'm pretty sure you know more about tec things than I do....

Well only what I've learnt through experience
as far as browsers are concerned I've mainly stuck with IE not out of loyalty but just because it's always been there. I did have Opera, Chrome and Firefox installed when I was designing my website to see how the design worked in each but now I just have IE8, Firefox and Chrome

I'v always stuck with IE myself.....
But I run windows 2000, so it will only run up to IE6, and it seems that the internet doesn't like IE6, as it thinks it is too old fasioned, and stuff doesn't work or display or it freezes up, even Wiki makes IE6 freeze up. so I finished up installing Firefox...
