# Mm, different strokes for different folks I guess.
Which is probably the same reason this got mixed feedback.

Could just be the fact it takes a lot to creep me out though. :P

# There is a big difference between your art and hers
you do a wide variety of stuff and your subject matter is always adult but she consistantly posts borderline peado-art and in every case the subjects are very young. But more than that we have some fantastic artists on b3ta but they get only a fraction of the attention she gets it seems being a potential Japanese School-Girl (or whatever she is) allows you all sorts of FAILS and the ability to come away from it a if she's a regular on b3ta! It's hardly fair on those noobs who've made only slight mistakes and got ripped to pieces on the board as far as I'm concerned she/he is not forgiven.

Edit: anyway in all honesty I'm just not bothered by her in the least I just think she has got off too lighty.

# Mm, got a point there.
I don't think I have EVER drawn subjects as young as Moggy does; mine are always usually adult or otherwise. We have to take into account that things are different over in Japan; from what I gather it's a little less dodgy to draw things like she does. Why? I don't really want to know, but I still think she should have a go at drawing more adult characters, if only to relieve some of the controversy her work's been attracting.

# If she did draw something more adult and based upon her skill as an artist
I'd be the first to say Woo.
(, Sun 23 Oct 2011, 13:25, archived)
# I second that.
I know she can, but she doesn't seem to want to. It's like me; I've been told my reportage and portrait work is amazing, but I never really act upon it. Never really have chance to. :P

# ^ I agree with all of this.
(, Sun 23 Oct 2011, 13:33, archived)
# ^And I agree with all of that

# Interesting comparison.
A cutesy, sexy foxette cartoon (Fwitette?!?) that wouldn't look tooooo out of place in a post-watershed Cadbury's Caramel advert, and a fantasy-sci-fi-manga-style image of an underage schoolgirl complete with bewbage and camel toe? FFS ...
(, Sun 23 Oct 2011, 13:30, archived)
# Mm, it's like two different ends of the spectrum, really.
I just wonder what would happen if Moggy tried drawing something a bit closer to what I've done; something not so... dodgy... I think she'd be amazing at it, but like I said up there, it's like she'd rather stick to what's comfortable to her.
(, Sun 23 Oct 2011, 13:34, archived)
# It's clearly a 'he'.
And if this turned out to be the truth, would everyone be so forgiving?
(, Sun 23 Oct 2011, 13:37, archived)
# You know what? That's a good question.
I guess there's a sort of sexism in that if Moggy turned out to be a guy (with womanly fingers, no doubt) I imagine he/she would be completely torn apart. It seems that people think it's more forgivable if a girl drawn all this...
(, Sun 23 Oct 2011, 13:40, archived)
# I don't think
B3ta goes particulally easy on the girls in here. I would hate to think anyone was nice about me or my 'art' just because of gender; and I don't think they do. Sometimes the lack of comments speaks volumes!

Edit; What i meant to add was I think Moggy gets attention for the potential comedy value.
(, Sun 23 Oct 2011, 13:57, archived)
# That is understandable.
I'm sure equality is something that is taken into account with artist's work on here, but as you say, Moggy's work is mostly for comedic value. Looking back, this is definitely true.

I'm off out to the shops; if there's tits on my screen by the time I get back, I declare myself chief interrogator of /board.

See you crazy cats later. ;)

# Agreed.
A little nudgette in the right direction is probably all 'she' needs ...

I, too, think that it could be awesome.
(, Sun 23 Oct 2011, 13:42, archived)
# it takes a lot to creep me out too (in drawings anyway)
and the pic is fairly typical Japan-stuff / not hugely different to something like this

but if the person who drew that had drawn some of the stuff that moggy has drawn, my reaction might have been different
(, Sun 23 Oct 2011, 13:45, archived)
# Haha, that's cute :)
I guess I've been on the internet long enough for things like this to seem somewhat normal to me.

And likewise, there is definitely a drop-off point for art like this. For example, what she's drawn up there is okay, but it's when it gets suggestive that I can't approve of it.

# that one didn't really press my "can't approve of it" button tbh*
even though posting the original picture would have been a nono

i think everyone would have laughed if another b3tan had done that to the original though, which is interesting...

*apart from the usual they just don't understand b3ta so why do they still bother thing

(, Sun 23 Oct 2011, 16:01, archived)
# Likewise. It's not worth starting a riot over, but it's what ever makes other b3tans comfortable, in my eyes.
Hence why I censored my picture; in case there's someone on here who uncontrollably vomits and excretes blood from their eyes when they see fox boobies.
