# I wonder what it is about the far east
So many women try to dress like cutesy wutesy little girls and so many people are attracted to children's cutesy wutesy things.

It gave me the shuddering fear when I was working in China. It was like a paedophile's dream.

*shudders a bit more*

# apparently it is the "yaeba" look
no doubt the article was actually a confusing mix of "look at them aren't they weird" and enforcing the demand for fake teeth like they do in america.

# I worked for a Japanese company
and was told on my first day that my promotion chances were zero because i was a woman. Then I was given a screwdriver and told to take the arms off my office chair, as only japanese dept. managers and above were allowed them. Funny lot.

# Yes,
I was based in the UK mainly, but travelled all over for them. A Japanese colleague I worked with daily once introduced me to his wife and child. 'This is my wife and child' he said. Actual names weren't deemed important.

was that as individuals, on the whole they were respectful and friendly. As a collective, they were racist and sexist to a massive degree.

# Toyota San
In the 4 odd years I worked at that place, I learned one persons first name and he made me promise never to call him by it in the work place; it was disrespectful. I, however, as a lowly European woman was called Susan San. MY surname didn't rank high enough to be used, even though I was senior engineer.
