The After Effects one is far better you'd think by now they would have come up with a better
animation codex than gif everything that moves added data to the overall size!

Mpeg is animated jpeg isn't it?
It started off as mjpeg then they lost the j....
As far as I can recall it was "motion joint pictures expert group"....
I'm sure someone will wiki and prove me wrong, but I remember reading about it when they where developing the mpeg format.... This was of course well before divx was even born.
