I thought 'Event Horizon' was a great haunted house film, and the almost-constant sound of the thunderstorm raging outside was a fitting touch..

First watched it with my flatmate - also a theoretical physicist - and her boyfriend, something like 9 years back. Her boyfriend got quite irritated with us mocking the whole setup, but that didn't stop me loving it.

i find that criticising the wonky physics in these things adds to my enjoyment of them, rather than detracting. i ahve, however, learned not to do this with someone else around because it does tend to piss them off a bit.
