I think you'll find the problem was Lord of the Rings not her

I'd be quite happy to take her out of the equation if it made it easier for others.

i liked it
the only one who annoyed me more than her was karl urban. there was a walking tree on it that was less wooden than him.

there are far better things to do with that amount of time in my opinion
but several billion dollars in revenue tells me I must be wrong

Yep, that's my opinion, just to long for what it is, if it were two hours long each I'd watch it....
But there again if there were 4 hour long star wars films, I'd be jumping for joy!

I'm all in favour of long films.
Far too much detail is lost trying to cram complex stories into two hours, which is why many book adaptations turn out as shallow, superficial Hollywood tripe. Books turned into TV series, on the other hand, I can live with as they have the luxury of time to explore the richness of the source material in.

It was exactly the opposite
it got everything it needed into the film, wihout about 400 pages of waffle, which the book has. seriously, you could skip those 400 pages and not lose anything important from the story

I'll agree with you on LOTR
The only of this series that I even attempted to read was The Hobbit, and got bored after a dozen pages. There's not many books that can put me off reading them that quickly.
