I paid £46 for UHF on VHS from EBY (Iknow it's ebay but was in tla mode then)
A month later it was released on dvd and I got it imported for £7! (back when we had a good exchange rate)
ahhhhh those where the days, importing dvds for £4/£5 when they retailed here for £20....

Also apropos of beer drinking..
They played on my "budget" wharfedale dvd (£280)
And to play an american dvd i had to eject the tray, pres 1,2,3,4,5 then play... EVERY TIME i wanted to watch a none region 2 disc!
It still haunts my dreams now......
I still have it in it's box, I hope one day a museum will give me my money back.

It's something that didn't live up to my memories of it, when I purchased it from a car boot in 97ish :-(
