I made a special panel in my profile with the intention of linking it but no matter what I do it doesn't become active (like it automatically does on the board) - do you know how I can remedy this?

Hmm, as far as I'm aware profile html works the same as board html, so I don't know what could be going wrong there. It's certainly possible to make a bit of text into a link, so a href= works. Don't see why it wouldn't for a picture...
