Fitted a wardrobe for a lady called Jan in Hampstead, yesterday, and noticed a few original Jamie Hewlett pics on the wall.One of the pics was of Tank Girl in profile, holding a magnum by her side and pointing her finger at something out of shot. Underneath were the words, "To Jan - without you, she'd never have existed."
Turns out she introduced him to her best friend Pippa when they were at Uni, who then became his first wife and the eventual inspiration for Tank Girl.
