I echo bandcamp and 7digital which have generally served my needs
Benefit of Bandcamp is you find quite a lot of people are happy to sell FLACs in addition to the usual MP3 and AAC. 7digital has a lot of stuff and almost always sell at 320kbs AAC which is about as good as you get without going lossless. It's very rare that I've ended up buying from iTunes. I've heard quite a few people mention Soundcloud which seems to me similar to Bandcamp but I may be very wrong about that since I've not checked it out.
