what's keeping me from posting these days isn't people posting pictures that don't particularly suit my tastes. It's more the polarization of the board into people like yourself who snipe and moan without adding anything else, and people on the other side of the divide who seem determined to annoy you and others like you by posting exactly what you don't like with what appears to me to be to be a certain amount of malice.
I find the whole situation dull and largely humourless, and b3ta shouldn't be either of those things. I'm tired of it, and I think the only reason I still look at the board every day is out of a mix of habit and nostalgia. Of course there are still pics posted here which I think are great, but not nearly as many as there used to be, and the noise is all but drowning out the music at this point.

The person you're referring to has mellowed considerably, at least as far as their comments on /board are concerned, and surprise surpise, the spack gifs are pretty much a thing of the past. That's Newton's Third Law of Messageboards in action right there.
