# In my defense, the one we used during my last 2 years of parochial school (Junior High)...
We had one that was reflective, rather than transmissive. Very bright light and very hot, but you could project non-translucent images and objects. Space-Age shit right there, man!

# We had a Gestetner mimeograph when I was in fourth grade.
I got selected to join the school newspaper team and often got to run off the copies. You can safely bet your lunch money that I'd be huffing the metholated spirits off that stack the whole way back to the classroom!
