Season 8 of Thrones has nothing on the disappointment we kids felt at the pathetic end of Blake's 7. The first season was fab, we loved it, then Blake fucked off to join the Royal Shakespeare Company and the show limped on without him and without any rhyme or reason, then in the last episode Blake came back to be a betrayer and everything was spoilt, end of show. Qu'est-ce que le fuck?

Can't say I'm too fond of Tarrant, or rather the way he was written (find and replace BLAKE with TARRANT), but even from S1E02 onwards it was The Avon & Villa Show.
Season 4's cyber-punk rave aesthetic was torn straight out of 2000AD.

The show was watchable and in the absence of much else sci-fi was quite of its time and even now on a re-watch I can see past the wobbly sets and poor effects and take it for what it was.
Also, the female eye candy was really rather good.

The first Travis..? Tarrant, obviously, and of course Brian Blessed.

My aunt was such a fan of the show, she had her parents tape it for her when she couldn't watch it. Only thing is, they didn't have a VCR as it was before they got into many homes, so it was audio-only... Made no difference for the finalé, of course.

Leave the actors, costumes and moveable objects alone, just change the sets.
