# i like the....
wide ranging attempts this week's challenge has given..

I mean, I nearly did The Cheese featuring Charlie Sheen

But I decided Please drive Caerphilly was better

# bless you
i was feeling a bit shit when people were moaning (because it was my suggestion), and when someone frontpaged yesterday with "this Challenge is shit" or whatever i felt worse.. but then it's been take a bit out of context and at the end of the day i only suggested it.

arf at your caerphilly gag! : )

# Cheese and curry IS a bit off the wall
but maybe it might make people.....think?
(, Sun 4 May 2003, 1:57, archived)
# the point is
it's not curry and cheese...

it was cheese in the movies (as in insert cheese into a movie title)

or curry in a song... like korma chameleon etc - it was in honour of an e-mail thing that went out years ago with the Top 10 curry house tunes....

# It reminds me...
...of the 'bastard/custard' chart in the NME.
(, Sun 4 May 2003, 2:05, archived)
# i thought that..
Yes. Its a fucking silly idea.

But its more likely to produce surreal stuff than say "nuns".

I'm not slaggin off any previous comp, nor sticking up for this one because popt suggested it - just saying that the comps should have more scope for pure inane fuckery :)

# At least...
...it shouldn't produce countless images of Saddam Hussain or George Bush in 'hilarious' scenes.

/bitch

eating a cheese curry

# well it was silly really the challenge had only been going half a day at most anyway
so who's to say if it's a success or not by Friday Afternoon?
I like it, it might bring out a bit more Python in people :)

# lemon
curry?

# one would hope so
i felt the derogatory mention in the newsletter (soemthing i don't think i've ever seen before?) and then the frontpage of a caption pic set it off to a bad start... i couldn't give much of a fuck but it made me feel icky.
(, Sun 4 May 2003, 2:03, archived)
# I like it
I hadn't actually read the newsletter till you just mentioned it...
(, Sun 4 May 2003, 2:08, archived)
# have you ever seen any comment
on the next weeks challenge like that?
(, Sun 4 May 2003, 2:10, archived)
# well, when it was suggested I was a bit
"what the fuck?", but I like it when the challenges are a bit mental. loads of people say that the 'honest adverts' or 'straight to video' challenges were really good, but they just bored me.

that said my idea for curry and cheese is a bit silly ;)
(, Sun 4 May 2003, 2:14, archived)
# i repeat... it wasn't curry and cheese
it was:

cheese in the movies (as in insert cheese into a movie title)
brie and john malkovich, a brie too far... seven bries for seven brothers, the roquefort files, edam busters... etc?

or curry in a song... like korma chameleon , poppadum preach, aloo i love you won't you tell me your name etc - it was in honour of an e-mail thing that went out years ago with the Top 10 curry house tunes....
(, Sun 4 May 2003, 2:16, archived)
# I know!
I just read that! you're not going to like my idea ;)

# me no care
me go bed, and me thinking i hate b3ta lately.
(, Sun 4 May 2003, 2:20, archived)
# nooooo!
but I was just saying I liked your challenge!

edit: the caption thing was shit. I don't know why that frontpaged.
(, Sun 4 May 2003, 2:21, archived)
# never...
...seen a bad challenge

after all... its called a challenge for a reason innit?
