# Very cute.
Also you should save still pictures as pings or jpegs as you get better quality images

# you lose
quality with jpegs. you get artifacts. etc. gif is the way on the board. and there's nothing wrong with that picture.

# There's pros and cons either way....
Gif will only have 256 colours, JPG can have 16 million.

Either way.... your pic is woo.

# yeah
i know. but 9 times out of 10, people tell other people on the board "save it as gif" not jpg.

# well gif you keep the sharpness
but jpegs give you a much better color range, and really if you don't turn the compression up too high, it stays pretty sharp

# I don't mean quality as in wooness,
just, as blackmoon said, you only get 256 colours so it will look a little drab and have more compression defects then a similar file-sized jpeg or ping

# the pics
aren't exactly colourful to begin with.

edit: and the marmot is a gif to begin with anyway.

#
on this there is no artifacts, and the image is half the size

# You Will Not Notice Artefacts On A Photographic Image As Much As You Will Notice Colour Loss!
In This Instance, JPEGS Are Faster!

# get
a decent connection then ;P

# It Is A Fast Connection!
But I Want It To Be Faster!!!!
