# morning!

# Crikey, the stars must be right

if you are risen!

# Nice picture
Is that taken with a digital camera in black-and-white mode?
(, Sat 23 Aug 2003, 8:57, archived)
# Nope,
I took it with a 5 quid disposable camera and got the film scanned at boots.
(, Sat 23 Aug 2003, 9:05, archived)
# I had no idea
the disposables looked so good.

# If you get enough light into the lense
any camera can look good. That is really all you should ever pay for on a camera, a lens that lets in a lot of light. The rest of a bad camera is usually built with as many ways to trick you into thinking that the lense is good enough.

# oooh
boot's disposible b&w cams actually have ilford brand film in them. they're alright but i got mine developed at some crap place that can't keep their machines clean and they managed to scratch a whole roll of film.

# Hooray for black and white mode on cameras
Seeing as the board is moving so slow this morning, I'll post this one.

(, Sat 23 Aug 2003, 9:07, archived)
# I've never used
black and white mode on mine. Must try it sometime.
(, Sat 23 Aug 2003, 9:17, archived)
# i'm not sure
my digital does that... i just greyscale later

# are these hippies
lining up to be shot?
(, Sat 23 Aug 2003, 9:04, archived)
# Wait a second,
I can spot only 3 people who could qualify as hippies in that photo... am I missing something here or is anyone relaxing in the sun watching an open air show a hippy?
(, Sat 23 Aug 2003, 9:11, archived)
# why do they
have juggling clubs then?

not all hippies have long hair.... but they all need bombing
(, Sat 23 Aug 2003, 9:19, archived)
# Because that photo
was taken at a juggling festival. And before you start not all jugglers are hippies, and not all hippies are jugglers either.

EDIT: but I agree with you on the bombing part.
(, Sat 23 Aug 2003, 9:22, archived)
# ahhh!
when you said open air show. i read that as planes and things
(, Sat 23 Aug 2003, 9:33, archived)
# I see how that could be confusing
but he is what those people are watching, from the other direction, and taken with a colour disposable camera:

Hmmm, I never actually did see this show, it was one while I was eating dinner and just popped out to snap a few photos.
(, Sat 23 Aug 2003, 9:39, archived)
# at least they're hovering!
it's a bit like a helicopter!
(, Sat 23 Aug 2003, 9:44, archived)
