# Hahaha
I bought a Ukulele today because of you.

# I keep planning to buy one
apparently they're easy to play, or something.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2003, 17:15, archived)
# it takes a few days to pick it up...
...but a lifetime to master.

(, Wed 1 Oct 2003, 17:23, archived)
# I prefer wanking to doing it with other people because...
...you associate with a better class of person wanking.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2003, 17:28, archived)
# Well they're quite small
so I can't imagine taking a few days to pick one up....sorry.

I've been working on the bleedin' banjo for a year now and I still haven't managed to pick it up!

# They're small...
...but they are made out of the same stuff as black holes - that's what makes them so heavy.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2003, 17:22, archived)
# That's one more of us...
...and one less of them.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2003, 17:15, archived)
# I like your
music.
How do I play this thing?
I don't know what the tuning is.
(, Wed 1 Oct 2003, 17:16, archived)
# The tuning...
...is

1st B
2nd F#
3rd D
4th A

...so unlike most stringed instruments, the 4th string is actually higher in pitch than the 2nd or 3rd.

[edit] These pople want to tune it a full tone lower than me. Weird.

# thanks kind sir
I was rather taken aback when I noted the 4th string as being thinner but soon overcame my shock.

# notes are different in america
it's like shoes.

# George Formby
apparently could only play in one key, and had a differently tuned ukelele for each song.
FACT!
(, Wed 1 Oct 2003, 17:32, archived)
# George Fornby didn't play the ukelele
he played the banjolele.

FACT!!!
