What "Mode" is photoshop default? RGB Colour? When I use the Auto Colour, Contrast, Levels thing weird things are happening, anyone know what the crack is? (The colours mess up)

but photoshop is only good at auto colour and auto bright/contrast with simple images.

Best to do it yourself - play with the manual options on colour balance and b/c - but not levels, that one's mad. Best stayed away from!
