and it makes sense that there are so many of them

hahaha they will have no chance when they realise there is no greenery in here!

the cunts.

# well the pic isn't quite national geographic quality
but they're common
and they could just have taken up residence in an old sprouting potato down the back of your sofa

(of course - if they eat you overnight then I am probably wrong)
(, Tue 20 Apr 2004, 11:54, archived)
# they came in
on an old plank from the garage
or possibly breezeblocks from outside

so i dunno, neither seem particularly likely aphid spots..

they are definitly thinning out though hehe..

# dont flame them!!!!

make a little commune for them out of an old fish tank, some top soil, sticky back plastic and old jazz mags, they will be overjoyed!

*sorry*
(, Tue 20 Apr 2004, 11:39, archived)
# Bet they wouldn't even show it.
Cause an Old Grandad falling out a caravan door is much funnier*

# Not evil
bedbugs, I hope. It's all over the news that the bastards have made a comeback. They're everwhere, like those legless insects that live on everyone's eyelashes.*

*100% true.
(, Tue 20 Apr 2004, 11:35, archived)
# if they've got eight legs
(actually ... if they're big enough to count the legs) then they're money spiders
which are a "good thing" as they eat aphids
if they're really really ickul then they could be aphids - in which case they're a "bad thing"

(entirely from a houseplant perspective)

harmless, and almost bright orange. I think they're cute. I used to get hundreds in my back garden as a kid.

Recognition:

The Red Spider mite is 0.75mm long with an oval body. Their colour is of ten darkened, olive green or rusty brown. Despite their glorious red appearance the red spider mite feeds on plants only when they haven?t fed for a period maybe from migrating into a home they turn into a dirty brown colour.

Biology:

Clover mites are active during the mild summer days when they can enter buildings structures in enormous numbers invasion is typically through cracks around windows and doors or through masonry cracks. These mites will leave a reddish spot/smear /stain if crushed. This can cause problems on wallpaper, curtains and furniture etc. An 18? grass free strip around the perimeter of a property can reduce the number of invaders by around 90%.
