# you have to have a removable cover which looks crap (and yes for consumer electronics that matters)
you usually need a much thicker device to hold them
the removable cover is an extra thing to lose/break

most of the HD based playes use them, i think it's only the zen that doesn't and that cover has a reputation for falling off
